Floors are chemically treated and the old floor polishes and ingrained dirt is removed using rotary floor cleaning machinery. The residues are then extracted using an industrial wet pick up vacuum cleaner. Linoleum and vinyl flooring can then be sealed using emulsion floor polishes applied with either mops or lambswool floor applicators. Several coats are laid down to build up a solid foundation and to make the floors look as good as if they were newly laid. Follow up machine burnishing will help the floor to maintain its shine for many months to come.
